Winchester's relaxed feel is complemented by a wide selection of pubs and restaurants to suit every imaginable mood and taste - a few are located near the city's charming waterside. All the properties are within a short walk of many of the best restaurants which are located on Jewry Street including: Cafe De Paris as well as the newly opened Brasserie Blanc. Our favourite restaurant is La Place & Froggies Bar which is in Great Minster Street. Residents of Winchester are spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping. The stunning High Street boasts and array of national retailoutlets - with a backdrop of traditional architecture -  from Anokhi to Jaeger to River Island - they can all be found on the High Street.

Setting higher standards
We do not strive to gain compliments, we strive for excellence - we are continuously refining our approach. The compliments we receive are simply a by-product that let us know we are heading in the right direction. We believe that these compliments are a suitable reward for excellence in quality and service, but we also believe that we need to continue to improve and innovate in order to meet our own high standards.

Past and present

Winchester is one of England's most famous areas - and one of its most historic. The city has Roman origins and was once a Saxon capitalAmong its most famous buildings are Winchester College, founded in 1382 as well as the world famous Winchester Cathedral, founded much earlier, in the 7th Century. Today the cathedral still draws the crowds - especially Jane Austin's tomb and the monument to Bishop Wilberforce. Winchester's proud tradition as a seat of learning is also very evident. Both Winchester College and St Swithun's were recently listed amongst the 'Top 50' schools in the country.
